Common Back Pain

Back pain often shows as a dull ache in the lower back, sharp twinges with bending, or pain that travels into the buttock or leg. Common patterns include muscle strain, irritated facet joints, disc related pain, sciatica like symptoms, and sacroiliac irritation. You may notice morning stiffness, trouble sitting for long, or pins and needles that ease when you change position.

Common Causes

Back pain often relates to heavy or awkward lifting, changes in work or training load, long sitting, repeated bending, extended driving, and unsettled sleep. Stress and lower conditioning can heighten sensitivity. Stiff hips or mid back may add strain. If pain is severe, persistent, or comes with unusual symptoms like new numbness or changes in bladder or bowel control, please see your GP.
